April 5th, Saturday • Stand-up Comedy Ary Abittan: Authentique at Trianon Convention Centre

After two years away from the stage and over 15 million cinema admissions, Ary Abittan is making a spectacular comeback with his brand-new show, "Authentique". In this performance, Ary opens up about his daily life with raw honesty and humour. As a divorced father of three and the son of two worry-prone parents, he shares childhood memories and his take on relationships with his signature wild and energetic style.

April 16th, Wednesday • Cinema Screening (VF) Plastic Odyssey - Mission Pacifique at Institut Français de Maurice, Rose Hill

Plastic Odyssey - Mission Pacifique by Pierre De Parscau (2025).

“After scouring the world's most polluted coastlines, the Plastic Odyssey team is tackling a new challenge in the Pacific Ocean: extracting and recycling more than 10 tonnes of plastic waste piled up on Henderson Atoll, a 38 km² island infamous for having the highest density of plastic debris in the world.”

This screening takes on a special dimension as the Plastic Odyssey ship calls at Mauritius this month. The screening will be followed by a discussion with part of the Plastic Odyssey team, who will be in Mauritius for the stopover.

Saturday, April 26th • Creativity Workshops (FR) Masterclasses avec Amélie Cornu at Caudan Arts Centre, Port Louis

Meet Amélie Cornu, author of Les Folles Aventures de Lili Chardon (but also a designer, engineer, consultant, coach, director, and actress...) for two masterclasses focused on writing, imagination, and youth literary creation.

The first masterclass, From Writing to Stage, will explore the notion of meaning in the creative process, encouraging participants to begin with individual reflection before moving into a collective discussion to uncover their own reasons for creating.

The second masterclass, Behavioural Agility in Support of an Artistic Project, aims to explore the specifics of artistic creation by focusing on the soft skills involved in collective work. Through playful exercises, participants will be guided to identify and experiment with these interpersonal abilities, essential for fostering a creative environment that is both healthy and joyful.

This session will includes a kids-friendly reading session followed by an interactive parenting discussion on “Oral health and oral development in babies: prevention for healthy growth. We'll talk about breathing, sucking, dummies, thumbs, teeth and baby's oral hygiene.”
